• Responsible for organising talks, lectures, readings etc. held by the GPI.

Library and Archives

(currently managing the Crossing Borders Archive Project, past manager of the Changing Britannia Archive Project)

• Responsible for looking after all the archives held by the GPI, training volunteers, consultingwith archive experts etc.

The Committee managed the three-year Changing Britannia Archive Project (2003-2006) which conserved and catalogued five GPI archive collections: the Caribbean Artists Movement, the early Black Education Movement, the Black Parents Movement, the New Cross Massacre Action Campaign and early newspapers and ephemera (1960s-1970s) from the UK and the Caribbean. Now it is managing the Crossing Borders Archive Project (2006-2008) which is conserving and cataloguing two GPI archive collections: the International Book Fair of Radical Black and Third World Books (1982-95) and European Action for Racial Equality and Social Justice.
