BHH365 Launch: 50 years on from the Black Parents Movement, Standing Firm in Power & Pride

Join us for the launch of the Black History Haringey 365 programme at Wolves Lane Horticulture Centre, a community food growing hub, and events space in the heart of Wood Green. 

On Tuesday 7 October there will be a panel discussion reflecting on 50 years since the Black Parents Movement was established, exploring the theme ‘Standing Firm in Power & Pride’. The discussion will be chaired by Kenneth Olumuyiwa Tharp, Director of Culture & Communities at Haringey Council with panellists Roxy Harris, chair of the George Padmore Institute, and Paulette Henry of Black Rootz.

There will also be live music and spoken word performances from exciting emerging local poets and musicians.
